Medicine Bags are traditionally used across Indigenous cultures to store and carry medicines.

Many of the medicines we use are herbs which will either mold or dry out in plastic bags depending on the humidity and moisture. Leather Medicine Bags keep these herbs dry and fresh so that they will last much longer.

These Medicine Bags are made with deer leather sourced from hunters that were feeding their families and would have otherwise discarded the hides.

We are so grateful to be based in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people, covered by the Peace and Friendship Treaties, on which we reside. In honour of this land and its people, we wholeheartedly embrace our responsibility to re-Indigenize and decolonize the institutions and spaces we share and everyday strive to walk in right relation with all of our relatives.
