Medicine of the Red Road came to Turtle Island to clear the path for our relatives to find ceremony, spirit, culture, and connection. Born from the knowing that each of us carries medicine and has unique gifts to share with the world, Medicine of the Red Road holds space for you to be exactly who you are.
Medicine of the Red Road invites you to walk your medicine through this life, with every step bringing you more deeply into right relation.
Founded by Ryan in 2024 after years of being pulled between two worlds, Medicine of the Red Road was born out of the culmination of culture, lived experience, personal growth and belonging. Ryan received judgement from many places for being a woman practicing medicine, being a two-spirit person practicing medicine, being a mixed-person practicing medicine, being a young person practicing medicine. The judgement she faced both within and without was demanding that she make space for something big to land, something that would clear the road ahead, revolutionizing the way we perceive wellness, culture, and identity. As Ryan leaned into the energy of this new entity, she saw worlds colliding; cultures, teachings, stories, and medicines from each diverse piece of herself amalgamating into one. A whole. A place where there was no "too much" or "not enough", but always exactly right as you are. A place where shame had no place to hide and the unique medicine that each individual holds was celebrated. Ryan saw a place of gathering, of learning, of reconnecting and healing. This place that Ryan saw was ready to be born, but she needed something to call it. That's when Medicine of the Red Road came. On the Red Road, we are all equal, we are all carrying our medicine through the world in our own magickal ways. With every step, we heal, we trust, we learn, and journey more deeply into our selves and the energy that flows through all of Creation.
As we walk the Red Road, we deepen our connection to Spirit, to the Land, to our Culture, and our Community. On the Red Road, we find our medicine.
The Red Road
The Red Road is a story that is carried through many Indigenous nations. It is said that to walk the Red Road is to live in a "good way". It requires intention and profound commitment to walking in right relation with all of Creation. To walk the Red Road is not to be perfect, but to live every day as a ceremony that brings you closer to Creation.
Though the Red Road may appear linear, as a straight line, it is not. The Red Road is cyclical, walking the circle, returning to the same lessons, time and again, to receive those teachings that we couldn't take in all at once.

The story reflected in our logo is one of way finding.
Held by the Earth beneath our feet, we exist, we are here. But where exactly is "here"? Why are we here? And how do we get to where we're going? Wherever that might be.
Since time immemorial, when people have wondered, they have have looked up to the starts. There sits Kiwatin (Polaris), “the going-home star”, a beacon of light, unwavering, calling you back to yourself.
Before you lies the Red Road. Unyielding, with no end in sight, but the familiar pull of Spirit so resolute. You know that by stepping onto the the red of the road that you are stepping onto Spirit's path. And as such must walk with Love, Respect, Humility, Truth, Bravery, Honesty, and Wisdom.
Around you, the trees stand tall and strong, carrying the whispers of your ancestors as they creak in the stillness. Generations of wisdom watching over you, their branches reaching out to hold you to your course. Reminding you how deeply rooted and connected you are to all of Creation.
The journey of the Red Road is different for everyone, showing up as uniquely as we do ourselves. These guides help us orient ourselves within the vastness of Creation. There is no map to show us how to get where we're going. But if we allow ourselves to go, these guides will walk us into our medicine. With each step bringing you home to yourself.
